Israel Román-Godínez received a BSc degree in Computer Systems (2005) at the Zacatepec Technologic Institute, Mexico. Afterward, he obtained the Ms.C. and Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2007 and 2011, respectively, at the Computing Research Center of the National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico. Since 2013, he has been a Research-Professor in the Innovation Based on Information and Knowledge Department belonging to the Exact Science and Engineering University Center at the University of Guadalajara. He is also a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (Level 1). His research areas are machine learning focused on solving problems in fields such as Biotechnology, Computational Linguistics, Neuroinformatics, among others.
